Here we go again!! First Day of School North Carolina 2013-2014

Well, I can already tell you, long gone are the days of bright sunny first day of school photos in 100 degree heat at 8am. This morning it was 50 degrees on the first day of school and dark out when our bus pulled up, lol. Welcome to the East Coast!! It was so dark out we had to take our photo inside!! Here it is:



We are so excited for this school year! Ella got one of the best Teachers at the school! In fact, one could say she is the best (right now), cause she won the title of Union County Teacher of the Year for 2012-2013. How cool is that?? We had open house on Friday and got to see the classroom, meet Mrs. Sofsian officially and Ella's favorite part... the candy :)



Our AWESOME Teacher takes pictures every week and shares them with parents and sure enough there was an email tonight with pics of their first day! (WE LOVE HER ALREADY HA HA) Here are some pics her teacher snapped!

The day seemed to fly by today and before I knew it... my babies were home safe and sound.




I sure missed them :)



I baked home made chicken pot pie from scratch for them (Ella's request) and then we went to the pool for some swimming before bed. It was a fantastic day for us all. :)

Sparkle Bright Precious Girl

First Day of Second Grade 2013-2014 Arizona

I can not believe another school year came and went. And our Summer seemed to go just as fast! This was the first year in a few years we have not gone to Boston for a long vacation during our Summer break. But we were busy house shopping in Charlotte instead. More to come on that later. Here is a cute poem to summarize how Ella feels about 2nd Grade (ha ha):

If school were more like baseball we'd only have to play. We'd hang out in the sunshine and run around all day. We wouldn't have to study. We'd practice and we'd train. And, best of all, they'd cancel whenever there was rain. --Kenn Nesbitt

Soccer Season!

Earlier this year my parents signed me up for Soccer. I had never played before. I wasn't sure if I was going to like it, but I did. I didn't really enjoy playing offense but I LOVED playing defense and would have played goalie if we were allowed to have them. But this was a rec league so we couldn't :) Enjoy the photos!






In the Spring I am going to play again! I am looking forward to it!
