Fall Centers Mrs. Sofsian's Class - 2nd Grade

Today my teacher had a fun event called Fall Centers. We got to celebrate Fall and do some activities like Math bingo, pumpkin bowling, spider making, and cupcake decorating. Here are some photos of our fun time! :)

Our teacher fundraised to get us a new area rug for our classroom! Thanks to friends, family and parents we got it! We are so excited can't you tell? Me more than anyone! ha ha

Kensington Spaghetti Dinner

Tonight was my school's annual Kensington Spaghetti Dinner! Since this is our first year at the school it was our first time attending :) It was yummy!



After we went to the book fair and bought some books! :) I am looking forward to next year, it was fun!

My first time riding the bus!

I asked my Mom to let me take the bus this morning. She has driven us every day because it is still dark out when the bus pulls up at 6:30am. But I really wanted to get on it and today she said yes! It was fun riding the bus in the dark! It was an adventure and I wasn't scared at all! :)

Here we go again!! First Day of School North Carolina 2013-2014

Well, I can already tell you, long gone are the days of bright sunny first day of school photos in 100 degree heat at 8am. This morning it was 50 degrees on the first day of school and dark out when our bus pulled up, lol. Welcome to the East Coast!! It was so dark out we had to take our photo inside!! Here it is:



We are so excited for this school year! Ella got one of the best Teachers at the school! In fact, one could say she is the best (right now), cause she won the title of Union County Teacher of the Year for 2012-2013. How cool is that?? We had open house on Friday and got to see the classroom, meet Mrs. Sofsian officially and Ella's favorite part... the candy :)



Our AWESOME Teacher takes pictures every week and shares them with parents and sure enough there was an email tonight with pics of their first day! (WE LOVE HER ALREADY HA HA) Here are some pics her teacher snapped!

The day seemed to fly by today and before I knew it... my babies were home safe and sound.




I sure missed them :)



I baked home made chicken pot pie from scratch for them (Ella's request) and then we went to the pool for some swimming before bed. It was a fantastic day for us all. :)

Sparkle Bright Precious Girl

First Day of Second Grade 2013-2014 Arizona

I can not believe another school year came and went. And our Summer seemed to go just as fast! This was the first year in a few years we have not gone to Boston for a long vacation during our Summer break. But we were busy house shopping in Charlotte instead. More to come on that later. Here is a cute poem to summarize how Ella feels about 2nd Grade (ha ha):

If school were more like baseball we'd only have to play. We'd hang out in the sunshine and run around all day. We wouldn't have to study. We'd practice and we'd train. And, best of all, they'd cancel whenever there was rain. --Kenn Nesbitt
